2025 marked a major milestone for Sportsrooms as we celebrated 10 years of simplifying sports travel. Since our founding in 2015, the business has continued to grow and evolve, and this year proved to be another outstanding chapter in our story. We delivered exceptional experiences for clients at home and abroad, culminating in our role providing accommodation services for Rugby World Cup 2025 — the largest and most successful Women’s Rugby World Cup to date.
The year began, as tradition dictates, with a busy January of European rugby fixtures, as teams travelled across France, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. These fixtures also saw the return of one of our popular ‘Travel with the Team’ packages, with Bristol Bears travelling to Clermont Auvergne alongside many of their passionate supporters.

February brought continued progress for our domestic football teams as the season moved toward its decisive stages. The Six Nations break allowed rugby teams to focus on the Premiership Cup, where our friends at Bath Rugby claimed victory, defeating fellow Sportsrooms client Exeter Chiefs in the final. This triumph marked the first leg of an incredible treble for Bath in 2025.

March delivered memorable moments on the football pitch. Fulham FC reached the FA Cup quarter-finals following a dramatic penalty shootout victory at Old Trafford, while Peterborough United successfully retained the EFL Trophy at Wembley with a superb win over heavily favoured Birmingham City.
April saw the start of the cricket season and further growth in our client portfolio. Gloucestershire Cricket joined Sportsrooms, taking our number of county championship teams to five. We also announced an exciting partnership with Middlesex Women’s Cricket, who proudly wore the Sportsrooms logo on their sleeve as they went on to win Division Two of the Women’s Vitality Blast.

As European rugby entered the knockout stages, Sportsrooms chartered a plane to Pau, transporting Bath players and supporters for a crucial away victory. That journey proved pivotal, as the club advanced to a memorable night in Cardiff, where they lifted the European Challenge Cup.
The football season reached an exciting conclusion with Burnley securing immediate promotion back to the Premier League. We also enjoyed another excellent Premier League International Cup campaign, which saw Nottingham Forest defeat Olympique Lyonnais in the final at the City Ground.
Off the field, the first half of the year brought significant growth for Sportsrooms, with four new team members joining across a range of roles as we continued to strengthen our offering and deliver the ultimate sports travel solution.
In May, Sportsrooms once again partnered with our colleagues at Fuse to deliver the PepsiCo guest programme for the UEFA Champions League Final in Munich. We managed accommodation for over 1,000 guests as PSG claimed their first-ever European title with a dominant victory over Inter Milan.

June brought further success for Bath Rugby, who completed their remarkable treble by defeating Leicester Tigers in a thrilling Premiership Final at Twickenham — celebrations understandably followed for days. June also marked football fixture release day, a highlight in the Sportsrooms calendar, as thousands of team hotel enquiries were issued to hotels across the UK on behalf of our clients.

As summer progressed, there was more success on the cricket pitch. Somerset claimed the Vitality Blast for the second time in three seasons, while Leicestershire capped off an outstanding year by winning Division Two of the County Championship.
With the football season returning in August, the Sportsrooms team was back on the road, delivering world-class service up and down the country. August also marked a huge moment for the business, as we had the privilege of working alongside World Rugby to welcome the 16 competing teams into hotels across six cities for Rugby World Cup 2025 — the biggest and best Women’s Rugby World Cup in history.
Appointed in early 2023, Sportsrooms was tasked with sourcing and managing accommodation for all competing teams, match officials, VIPs, and workforce personnel. Over three years, our team finalised contracts with 55 hotels in preparation for the tournament. Throughout the event, we managed accommodation across Sunderland, Manchester, York, Northampton, Brighton, Exeter, Bristol, and London, working closely with World Rugby and the RWC 2025 team to deliver excellence at every level. We were immensely proud to play our part in such a landmark global sporting event.

September saw members of the Sportsrooms team onsite once again for the Laver Cup in San Francisco. This continued to be a growing global tennis event, and our fourth collaboration with the organisers proved to be the best yet.

October brought the annual Sportsrooms Autumn Extravaganza, an opportunity for the team to celebrate alongside friends and family. This year’s festivities included dragon boat racing, rockeoke, great food, drinks, and unforgettable memories.

As the year entered its final quarter, the team visited more than 120 hotels across the UK and Ireland in just three months, laying the groundwork for an exciting new event that Sportsrooms will support in the years ahead.
December closed the year as it began — with another thrilling period of European rugby action.
Over the course of 2025, Sportsrooms welcomed seven fantastic new team members whose enthusiasm and expertise further strengthened our business.
We are truly privileged that our clients trust us with their accommodation and travel needs. As Sportsrooms continues to grow and evolve, 2025 once again demonstrated why we have become the ultimate sports travel solution for elite teams and global sporting events
