Sportsrooms was launched in 2015 with the goal of simplifying sports travel. Spotting a gap in the market for a high level, dedicated sports travel agent the business thrives in delivering world class accommodation and travel for sports teams, events and fans.

For Teams

In our core business, we work with Sports teams to ensure that no stone is left unturned to deliver the perfect environment for team preparations. Sportsrooms partners with high level teams across multiple sports including Football, Rugby and Cricket. Our clients include the Premier League, Norwich City, Derby County, Bath Rugby, Gloucester Rugby and Middlesex County Cricket.

In addition to professional sports teams we also provide travel solutions for amateur teams, universities and schools.

For Events

Sportsrooms has vast experience in providing accommodation for sponsors, media, national and international federations at some of the World highest profile sports events. Our experience includes the Rugby World Cup, UEFA Champions League Final, domestic and international rugby events plus many more. We provide everything you need to deliver your event including hotel sourcing and operational support, along with providing consultancy services to major sports organisations.

At Sportsrooms we build on our passion for sport and travel to help clients extend their sporting experience by making a trip to a match into a trip of a lifetime.

Chris set up Sportsrooms in 2015 highlighting an opportunity in the market for a dedicated full service Sports Travel agent. Before launching Sportsrooms Chris worked for many years in Senior Management positions with Marriott Hotels and worked as Football Accommodation Manager for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Within the organisation Chris manages key accounts, works to drive new and existing customer relationships and leads on Sportsrooms business strategy. Outside of work Chris loves all watching all sports and spending time with his family, when he is not helping his wife run the hotel they own in Oakham.

Matt Annis

Matt joined Sportsrooms in September 2016 having graduated from University College of Football Business (UCFB) after studying Football Business & Media. During his time at UCFB Matt achieved First Class honours for his dissertation into the Logistics, Travel and Preparation of Professional Sport. At Sportsrooms Matt is account manager for many of our Football clients including the Premier League for all Youth Events.

Matt is a massive Chelsea FC fan, plays golf and enjoys watching sport. When not playing or watching sport Matt likes to go to concerts and loves all genres of music, especially rock.

Jen has worked for Sportsrooms since December 2018 and manages cricket and rugby business along with our clients meeting and events requirements. Jen studied Sports Development with Coaching at Sheffield Hallam University.  After graduating, Jen worked as a gymnastic coach in the USA then once back in the UK as Club Development Officer at the County Sports Partnership, Projects Manager at National Cricket Charity ‘Chance to Shine’ and most recently at Leicestershire County Cricket Club as Operations and Sales Manager. Jen enjoys watching all sports particularly live sports events, going to the gym and travelling to new places.

Tracy started working for Sportsrooms in July 2017. Within Sportsrooms, Tracy manages all elements of invoicing for Sportsrooms both client and commission invoicing. In addiiton Tracy manages the office including our relationships with our hotel suppliers.

Prior to joining Sportsrooms, Tracy has held a variety of roles within large organisations including Finance Management and PA positions, she also spent five years as a Event Manager for Greene King. Tracy likes running, cycling, watching most sports and reading crime thrillers.

Sue joined Sportsrooms in May 2018 and is responsible for sourcing, planning and booking hotels and meeting spaces for UEFA sponsors, Premiership Rugby teams & English Football League teams.

Sue has over 20 years’ experience in Corporate and Sports Travel. Before joining Sportsrooms, Sue worked as a Travel Account Manager for companies including Cosworth F1, Whitbread & Costa. Outside of work Sue enjoys travelling with Las Vegas being her favourite destination.

Tony Newsham

Tony Newsham

Financial Controller

Tony has worked as Financial Controller for Sportsrooms on a part-time basis since the business started. Tony retired from full time working a couple of years ago. Before retirement, Tony worked in Finance for the whole of his working career, most recently as Finance Administrator for Colchester United Football Club.

Outside of work, he enjoys watching most sports, playing ten pin bowling, walking and watching and competing in quiz competitions.
